Isobelle Wainwright

Isobelle joined the EGL team as a Lawyer in 2025. Prior to joining EGL, Isobelle worked as a Tipstaff to the Hon. Justice Nicola Pain in the Land and Environment Court and as a legal research assistant to barristers Dominic Villa SC, Catherine Gleeson SC and Courtney Ensor. 

Isobelle holds degrees in Law and Arts (German and Spanish studies) from the University of New South Wales. In 2023, she received first-class honours for a thesis on the internal displacement of people evacuated during the 2022 Northern Rivers floods. Isobelle has been awarded the University Medal in Laws, Law Society of NSW Prize and placed first in Public Interest Litigation and Torts.

She works on the land of the Gadigal people of the Eora Nation.
